City Sapling

now that I don’t need anything

it’s easier

I wake up

when it’s convenient

space travel or

a scream in the dark

in the finale

I don’t even need

I dance alone

in my sleep

swat nightmares like

bottle flies

off a horse’s

I use

street songs for sustenance

from sunlight

I fathom

while the ark floats

on cloud banks
