Man is most inventive

when discovering ways

to hurt others.

Crimes occupy a major part

of day to day life

and every time we’ve seen it all

something new and horrible

assaults our sensibilities,

at least those of us

still concerned with the well being

of our fellow denizens

on this festering planet

of pain and suffering.
