Jobs Not Named Steve

I have never worked a job I liked.

Anyone who tells you that is lying

or deluded.

I have worked jobs that were tolerable

and those that were not.

The pay was always lousy

and many of the conditions too.

The workers always played against each other

or imagining it.

And the one job where they wanted

me to join management,

I quit and moved to a whole

new city entirely.

A job is necessary and hopefully temporary,

that is all.

Anyone who says any different is trapped

or crazy or your boss.
