Lear and Loathing in Las Vegas


They did it to have fun.


They would get a boat and he would serenade her with his acoustic rambles.


Instead they joined a wild boat party and the DJ hushed them.


They did it to be free.


She would pop the question and they would venture far and wide for a ring.


Instead she assumed he said yes and struck a deal with a grumbling gammon-man in the pawn shop.


They did it to be one.


They would marry on a hill and their first dance would be under the light of the moon.


Eventually they found a chapel that authorised their love and as they danced sin city blessed them with a haze of pulsating neon.
